Pencil Mural inspired by "Big Tree" by Brian Selznick. Approximately 400 students worked on this large scale pencil drawing that is inspired by our One School, One Book project. The mural came out so well that we wrote to the artist and he wrote back to the students which was a delightful treat.Students worked together with the school theme "Road Trip". k-2 created trains, 3-4th created postcards and 5th created map symbols.Robot public art project. Students each created a mini robot in a half of a square jewelry box. Together we created 4 giant robots. This project was created during "robot week" and connected with the "One school, One book" program. The entire school read "The Wild Robot"5th grade students designed their own personal superhero logosStudents in different grades each had a job: City buildings in 2nd grade, superhero cape design in 3rd grade and pop art words in 4th grade.
