Alien Space Star Party
A four year-old's birthday party was a great excuse to enhance the playroom. Before the party started, we created the background scene: A space scene with planets and one spaceship. On the biggest planet were aliens representing the family's four children. Each alien is holding/wearing something personal to the child. When the party started, we had tables set up in the garage. Children were invited to paint pre-cut paper stars with acrylic paint and to also decorate a t-shirt that already had their name on it. After the art activity, kids ran to the backyard to play and participate in other party games. Just before the end of the party, we took the dry stars and decoupaged them into the alien space sky. The final step was to have an unveiling and to invite all the kids to come to the playroom to find their star.
