Children's Rooms

Starting with the big ideas of ballerinas and a cherry tree, we painted ballerina teddy bears dancing with ribbons that wrap around the cherry tree like a maypole and end up connecting on the ceiling with a cluster of cherry blossoms. Each bear has a slightly different outfit and stands in a different ballet pose. The fabric on the ballet costumes works with the fabrics from the nursery. The ribbons help to create movement and guide the viewers’ eyes (especially the baby!) around the room. The brown in the bark of the tree was chosen to match the brown wood of the nursery furniture. This mural was painted in two nurseries as the client moved into a new home so we created the same mural but a bit bigger.
